My Story

Hi, I'm Lindsey!

I was born in Boise, Idaho and grew up in the small town of John Day, Oregon. I now live in La Grande, Oregon with my husband Nick.

The first night we talked we knew we were supposed to be together forever. :)

We were married in June of 2016, and are now living the happiest life with each other! We love to travel (especially to warm oceans), fish,  go to concerts, and do anything that involves music. In June of 2025, we welcomed our sweet baby boy. After dealing with years of infertility and loss,  we are so grateful to God each day for such a wonderful blessing and miracle.

Rewinding back to 2014 - I met Nick during the hardest time in my life. I was struggling with much anxiety, fear and depression. But he truly helped bring back the joy and creativity that I had lost. I found healing in Jesus Christ and realized that God has a plan of happiness for everyone, no matter what we are going through.

When I found joy again, I never wanted to take anything for granted, especially my love for art and creativity. I believe we all have special gifts and talents that we need to share! My whole life I have always loved taking photos and decided in 2019 that I would use that love for photography and become a photographer. I love being able to capture the beautiful moments of life and to share them with others. It brings me so much joy, and I hope that I can share that joy with you!

MY PHOTOGRAPHY STORY

I have always loved art. My mom and dad met in an art class in college, so I think I was bound to become an artist. :) I originally turned that love of art into colorful animals painted in acrylic. At 13, I taught myself how to play guitar and loved to make up my own songs. I have always loved to create!

I used to play with my mom's vintage camera - I loved the manual zoom - and it brought me so much joy photographing my pets and flowers. In 2018, after a long period of not creating, I bought a Canon T5 off of marketplace - and I fell in love again! I discovered it was a way I could express my creativity in a way I couldn't otherwise. The amount of happiness it brought me to capture the Cape Kiwanda sunsets at Pacific City was enough to light a passion for photography I didn't know I had! Taking photos of nature allowed me to enjoy God's creations, and to be present. Living with anxiety, being immersed in my camera calms my mind and body.

When I started taking photos of my friends and family, it brought me even more happiness to see their joy after viewing the final edits! I love people and I love meeting new friends. Becoming a photographer was a perfect fit for me as it allows me to create and connect with others. :)
